With strong values in serving the people, Kathmandu Orthopaedic Clinic and later APC have made several donations to different charities; have donated medical equipments to hospitals.

  • Free Health Camps. During the existence of APC, we have conducted many Free health camps in Pokhara, Kathmandu and Gorkha. Many health camps were as well conducted with AMRI Hospitals’ specialists in the field of cardiac surgery, gynecology, infertility, oncology, nephrology and neurology. Free check ups were also conducted during different health awareness campaigns and World Heart Day.
  • Several CMEs (Continuing Medical Education) have been organized for Nepalese healthcare professionals, in which renowned and highly experienced doctors from AMRI Hospitals, Kolkata, India presented the latest findings in a wide range of medical subjects like Gynecology, heart surgery, oncology, neurology, endocrinology.  There CME programs we organized in Kathmandu and as well as in Pokhara. Every time more than 200 doctors from different speciality attended these CME lectures.
  • Several community talk programs have been organized on prevention of different diseases in association with Rotary Club and Lions Club. During the year 2012-2013, our clinic in Pokhara city have conduction health awareness campaign through out the year. Every month was targeted to one specific disease for an awareness. Whole month we were conducting awareness talk programs and free check ups targeted on that specific disease. Diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, coronary artery disease, uric acid, chronic bronchitis (COPD), uterus cancer, lungs cancer, breast cancer, PAP smear and Rheumatic heart disease were the diseases that we targeted. More than 1200 people of Pokhara received the awareness and free check ups during this massive campaign. Apart from that, we regularly conduct health awareness talk programs to different target groups, like school children and college students, Rotary Clubs, Cancer relief society, banks, etc. These talk programs with Topic “Staying Healthy”, “Quality Aging”, “Prevention of diseases”, “Silent Killers” are targeted to healthy population to provide knowledge about the diseases and their prevention and staying healthy.
  • The money earned by APC will be invested to make international health care available and affordable to every Nepali.
