Healthy snacks: Do not stay empty stomach for a longer period of time. Eat frequently and choose foods and drinks that are low in calories, sugar and fat. E.g.: fruits and nuts. Drink plenty of water.
Physical activity: Do any physical activity that interests you. E.g. playing games or yoga. Or just walk 30 minutes, 5 days a week. Remaining two days a week do stretching exercise.
Protect yourself from Sun: Excessive Sun rays are harmful to your skin and may cause skin cancer. Wear a hat or cap if possible. Wear UV protective sun glasses. Put on sunscreen lotion or cosmetic with SPF 15 or higher.
Hygiene: Although most of the time you try your best to maintain hygiene, but for those who live a busy life often forget to wash their hands frequently, specially after driving to dinner parties, we dive into snacks and drinks and washing hands often slips out of our mind. When soap and water are not available keep alcohol based hand sanitizers in your bag or in your car. Summer days are always epidemic for food infections (food poisoning, amoebiasis, typhoid and jaundice)
Travel safely: Do not use your mobile while driving. Make sure helmets are properly tightened while riding a bike. Do not speed, specially at night hours and if you had a drink. Wear seat belts- do not hesitate- they save lives.
Make time once a year to visit your doctor: Even if you are healthy mark your calendar once a year to visit your doctor and do routine tests. Some life threatening diseases are silent and when detected early can be completely cured or even prevented. Don’t wait for heart attack to visit a doctor, you may never make it.
